The House of Blues in Dallas, TX is a restaurant, bar, and concert venue located in the heart of downtown Dallas. The House of Blues is located between the Dallas historic West End Market Place and the new Victory Park which is anchored by the American Airlines Center and the W Hotel.

According to the Pegasus News 2007 coverage of the Dallas restaurant and venue opening, The House of Blues features three main areas.  The restaurant has a capacity of 300 and features local blues music.  The Foundation Room is a private club for business events with a capacity of 400 and the Dallas House of Blues main concert hall has a capacity of around 1,600 depending on seating configurations.

In order to understand seating at the House of Blues Dallas, you have to know whether the general admission area (downstairs) is configured with open seating or standing room.  If there is seating, these can be the best seats in the house.  If it is open floor space with no seating, you’ll have to decide whether you want to have a seat or be with the crowd.  The following is a visual diagram of the Dallas House of Blues seating chart.

Insider’s Tips

Though the House of Blues Dallas is a great venue for small concerts, there are a few things to consider when attending a show.  First, the food is expensive and mediocre at best.  Second, the valet parking can be a bottleneck and you car will end up in a field like parking lot next door to the facility.  With this said, an evening strategy can include valeting your car at the W Hotel which is a short walk across the street and enjoying pre-concert cocktail at the downstairs bar.  A second strategy is street parking or private lot parking around the Dallas Aquarium, stopping for Tex-Mex at the Cadilac Bar in The West End and walk over to the House of Blues.

If there is seating configured in the general admission area, this is a great way to see a show at the best prices.
